The purpose of the Year 10 & 11 Blues Programme is to encourage as many U15 and U16 Auckland based rowers and coxswains to experience rowing outside of their own school or club and learn new skills and form new friendships in a fun, engaging and social environment.

The camps are designed to introduce new skills and learnings that can be utilised over the next school season. Those involved will also have the opportunity to row in boat classes that they may not have tried before in a fun and enjoyable setting.

To ensure that camps are fun and engaging whilst running smoothly and safely, we can only have so many rowers and coxswains attend a camp – meaning we may have to have capped numbers for camps.

As such, you can attend one of the below two camps –

Camp 1:

Dates: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd July 2023

Time: 9am – 2pm (both days)

Venue: Waitemata Rowing Club

Camp 2:

Dates: Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th July 2023

Time: 9am – 2pm (both days)

Venue: St George’s Rowing Club

We know people are still away for the school holidays, so to keep it fair the sign up forms for each camp will be opened at 7pm on Sunday 30th April 2023 – you will be able to find the forms on this page. We will send reminders via email and social media.

Please ensure you talk to your guardian/s about this programme and which camp date may be more preferable.

Depending on demand and coach availability, we may set up more camps for those who miss out on the two above camps.

Year 10 & 11 Blues Sign Ups will open at 7pm Sunday 30th April 2023
